The journey began in 1984. I was a student at Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School at the time and volunteered as a Teachers Aid for a kindergarten class. Through this initial experience I knew that my future would include caring for children.

In 1987 I received my Early Childhood Education Diploma from Niagara College. I graduated at the top of my class with honors. That same year I accepted a teaching position in the preschool room at St. Michael's and All Angels Day Care, now known as Top of the Ridge Day Care.

My desire to fulfill a managerial role lead me to accept an Assistant Supervisor position in Kitchener. Shortly after, I accepted a Supervisor's position in Toronto for three years.

In 1992 I moved back to the Fort Erie area to further my studies at Brock University. I got married in 1994 and took a short-term office management position at a Physiotherapy Clinic.

Our first child was born in 1998 along with the "birth" of an in-home version of Turtle Club Daycare. My desire was to stay home with my daughter and provide a stimulating environment where she could interact with other children. Our in-home daycare was very successful for four years but was put on hold shortly after the birth of our son.

2004 marks the 20th year since the journey began and the official opening of Turtle Club Daycare. I continue to be committed to providing the highest level of childcare possible.
